Dupont Home - decks, parking, metro

Fantastic location, quiet neighborhood, convenient to everything!

My family and I had a great stay at this house near Dupont Circle in DC. If you enjoy more of a residential experience when traveling, like we do, you can't go wrong with this place when visiting DC. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-located. We felt like DC residents as we walked out of the row house each morning onto N Street to walk to get coffee. We also loved chilling on the rooftop with a drink at the end of a busy day. The LUXBnB staff and home owner were great and very responsive.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend with our family. 5 strong personalities had plenty of room to avoid clashing in this gorgeous home, and in walking distance to our beautiful Capital and amazing eateries.

Loved the home! Easily walked to DuPont station to catch the metro. Great bakery right around the corner.

Clean, spacious, and host was responsive.

This is a charming 3 bedroom, 3 bath house, with parking in back, lots of woodwork, and decks on 3 levels (tho the winter weather didn't allow much time outside). It has a washer dryer (in one of the bedrooms), a gas outdoor grill, and the kitchen is large and well-stocked. It is in Northwest DC, walking distance to Georgetown, the waterfront, Kennedy Center, etc. The house was clean, and beautifully furnished. The fireplace is use-able, tho we didn't use it. The owner mentioned some upgrades were planned as well (small items like new carpet on stairs). The neighborhood was fairly quiet, as DC goes, and certainly safe. Would definitely stay again.

A gem - hard to find anything like it!

Location was great. Outdoor deck was a nice way to end the evening.

We stayed 5 days in the DuPont rental and were very impressed. The home is conveniently located to Metro Stations and restaurants. It is furnished quite nicely, with a generous supply of kitchen essentials - glasses, plates, silverware, etc. Everything was very clean and the 3 beds were very comfortable. A lovely home and we will rent it again when we return.

We did not choose this property. Our chosen property was unavailable and agent switched us to this without letting us know. They were very apologetic, but still very disappointing. Property is dark - shutters mostly broken so you can't let in natural light in day time. It was also very dusty, second bedroom has to contend with washing machine noise when you do laundry, and showers dribble with constantly changing water temp. Location is great though.

Washington DC family vacation.

This DuPont Circle home was charming with a perfect location of many fun restaurants and close to the Metro, as stated. The home was clean and nicely equipped. The two bedrooms were perfectly comfortable, however, the fold-out beds in the upstairs sitting room were somewhat uncomfortable. Unfortunately due to weather, we only enjoyed the outside deck once, but it was lovely with plenty of seating.
Our experience with the management company was mixed. We very much appreciated their flexibility in accommodating our check-in and check-out times. This was very helpful. The information provided to us concerning codes, passwords, and logistical advice was incorrect on the attachments, which created confusion upon our arrival. They apologized and I'm sure they will be more careful in the future.

Fun experience to stay in a row house. This house is very interesting and cozy. The location was fantastic! Close to everything, yet has a quiet neighborhood feel.

No reflection on the house, but the housekeeping was terrible. When we arrived, the dishwasher was full of dishes, the beds weren't made, and all of the sheets were piled high on a sofa. All of the bathrooms didn't have soap, and those that did only had one bar for the sink and none for the shower. We reported this to the management company, and the representative apologized. I asked for the housekeeping fee to be adjusted seeing that I spent the first few hours of my stay folding laundry, making beds, and emptying the dishwasher. Disappointed that they still charged us for housekeeping.

The property was fine, but we expected three full bedrooms with three baths. Two bedrooms were as expected, the third was a small tv sitting room with a pull out couch. Very cramped for my grandson who is 6'5" tall. He managed. We loved the location, walked to restaurants, Trader Joes, and the METRO. Very convenient. Would highly recommend location.
